Diffusion Engineers Limited is seeking to hire an experienced Machine Operator to manage our operations in the East African Region. The Machine Operator will install, maintain, and operate machinery. He must have a strong understanding of the machines they work with. In-depth training may be required in order to achieve efficient daily duties. The Operator may work with mechanical or computer operated equipment. They must be technically-inclined and be able to properly utilize tools and machinery. Since problems with machinery may arise, the Operator must be able to analyze situations and find solutions.
Machine Operator Primary Responsibilities:
· Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
· Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
· Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
· Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.
· Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.
· Ability to read drawings, specifications, and machine instructions to accurately create the desired product.
· Load machine settings and ensure the correct tools are being used for the specified product.
· Regularly fine tune machine settings with the aim of achieving 100% productivity and quality.
Machine Operator Skills and Requirements:
A qualifying candidate should have;
· Certificate or Associate Degree in heavy machine operation or High School Diploma/GED.
· 3-4 year apprenticeship.
· Combination of additional education and experience.
· Good hand-eye-foot coordination and CDL License are an added advantage.
· Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to work and communicate well with others and should be able to follow instructions, and help ensure that all safety regulations are followed.
· Proficiency with hand tools.
· Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
· Knowledge of Production Procedures
· Ability to Read Blueprints, Schematics and Manuals
· Analytical Skills
· Physical Stamina and Strength
· Handle Heavy Equipment
Remuneration:
